With Women’s Council of Realtors, Ethel has leadership experience on the local, state and national levels and has served on national committees, Texas state hospitality, budget and finance committee, Local Montgomery County Chapter Treasurer, Secretary, VP of Membership, President Elect and presently serves as the 2012 President. Ethel’s theme for 2012 is Leadership Random Acts of Kindness “Are the small gestures of appreciation and the everyday acts of common courtesy that leaders give freely to people at every level in an organization. It is given without expectation of something in return; it is given freely from the heart”.
Ethel is also active with her Local REALTOR® Board, where she has served on the Governmental Affairs Advisory Group and the Political Affairs Advisory Leadership. She is a Graduate of the 2011 Texas Realtors® Leadership Program. Ethel is a two year Sterling R investment to the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC).
Ethel is the recipient of the Eagle Award for Keller Williams Realty and was awarded the Women’s Council of Realtors Montgomery County Chapter 2007 Realtor of the Year Award. Ethel is a 2011 Graduate of the Texas Realtors Leadership Program.
Ethel is active in her neighborhood, where she serves as the garden club chair. She Help raise funds for beautifying the green medians along FM1960, supports and volunteers at the Houston Food Bank. Ethel is also a habitat for humanity volunteer, where she is proud to have helped complete a home in Conroe and volunteers with other Realtors for habitat at their national association of Realtors November Conferences. Ethel is a member of the Woodsedge Community Church where she serves as a Prayer Partner.
Ethel has been married to husband David for nineteen years and has a blended family of ten. One of Their sons, Dathan a marine has served in Iraq and Afghanistan. She loves traveling with her husband, gardening, cooking Louisiana Gumbo and spending time with grandchildren.
